Trauma and Memory is a self-proposed project inspired by how traumatic experiences cause fragmentations and distortions in our memory of such experiences. This project is also an autobiographical reflection on my personal history and memory with childhood trauma.

From my working process where I create and recreate, to the final visual of my works where I recompose the recreated images, I am trying to mimic the progression of going through trauma and dealing with the effects of it over time. What seems to be abstract and random is actually very much structured and systematic as I create works inspired by and in reference to the notion of memory fragmentation and distortion.
